Neff Steam Functions: VarioSteam or Full Steam?

Steam cooking is a fantastic way to cook fresh vegetables, but you can do so much more than this! From creating a perfectly crusty pizza base to a juicy joint of beef – injecting steam into your cooking can add a big injection of flavour into your food.

Neff offers a number of ways of adding steam to your cooking – from stand-alone steamers to single ovens with steam injectors – so which one do you choose? Essentially, you have 2 options with Neff – Full Steam or VarioSteam.

What’s The Difference Between FullSteam and VarioSteam?

With FullSteam, your food is cooked 100% using steam and nothing else. With VarioSteam you’re adding an injection of steam to a cooking function you’ve already selected, for example adding steam with CircoRoast when cooking a joint of meat.

What Is Full Steam?

As we mentioned earlier, Neff’s FullSteam function is steam cooking in its purest form. It’s perfect for fish and vegetables as all the nutrients are retained and the food is left beautifully flavoursome. It’s also super simple to refill – a push of a button opens the concealed water tank that you can slip out easily.

What Is VarioSteam?

VarioSteam gives dishes just the right amount of moisture by adding steam at three intensity levels. A low level is perfect if you’re reheating a dish you’ve cooked earlier and a higher level is great for baking bread. You can add VarioSteam when using CircoTherm, top and bottom heat, bread baking or grilling. You can also select from some preset programmes to help you achieve the perfect moist cooking environment.

You can view the full range of Neff FullSteam and VarioSteam ovens plus their Compact Steam ovens on our website CookersAndOvens.co.uk.
