Wearing Our Chef Hats in 2013

As 2013 comes to a close, Rangemaster have given us an insight into what their most popular ranges were last year, and a possible inkling as to what trends will be dominating 2014 for appliances.

This year has been the year for cookery shows dominating the TV listings and this appears to have influenced our style choices this year. Aspiring cooks have been taking advantage of Rangemaster’s multifunction ovens and induction models in the hope of recreating some of the masterpieces they’ve seen on screen.

This year their most popular colours, red and cream, have been toppled off the top spots in favour for black and stainless steel. These finishes give a much more industrial and professional look to the kitchen in contrast to a more traditional and homely style. We’ve also been embracing our inner chefs by choosing much larger cookers than last year.

So our ambitions for culinary excellence have been high this year, but how many of us have actually touched more than the grill and fan oven functions in the past 12 months?

For a helping hand on demystifying some of those symbols on your cooker dial, take a look at our Youtube Channel. In our series of videos top independent chef Simon Smith talks us through the functions on your Rangemaster oven and gives tips on practical uses for each of them.
