Getting Started With Your Neff Oven

When it comes to built-in ovens you can’t get much better than a Neff, which is why they’re one of our most popular manufacturers. To help get you started with your new Neff oven, from the Premium or Classic collection, we’ve put this post together to help guide you through the initial set up steps.

Premium Model With Shift Control

As soon as the appliance is connected to the power supply, the first setting Language appears on the display

Setting the Language

  • Use the down arrow button to navigate to the bottom line
  • Use the left or right arrow buttons to select the language
  • Use the up arrow button to return to Language
  • Use the left arrow button to select the next setting

Setting the Time

  • Use the down arrow button to navigate to the bottom line
  • Use the left or right arrow buttons to select the current hour
  • Use the up arrow button to navigate to the next line
  • Use the left or right arrow buttons to select the current minute
  • Press the right arrow button repeatedly until Time appears
  • Use the right arrow button to select the next setting

Setting the Date

  • Use the down arrow button to navigate to the bottom line
  • Use the left or right arrow buttons to select the current day
  • Use the up arrow button to navigate to the next line
  • Use the left or right arrow buttons to select the current month
  • Use the up arrow button to navigate to the next line
  • Use the left or right arrow buttons to select the current year
  • Press the right arrow button repeatedly until Date appears
  • Use the right arrow button to select the next setting

For Ovens With Steam: Setting The Water Hardness

  • Use the down arrow button to navigate to the bottom line
  • Use the left or right arrow buttons to select the water hardness range
  • Use the up arrow button to navigate to Water Hardness
  • Use the right arrow button to apply the settings

  • Swipe to the left or right to select the required language
  • Touch the top lines

Setting the Time

  • Touch Clock
  • Touch the bottom line
  • Swipe to the left or right to select the current hour
  • Touch Minutes
  • Swipe to the left or right to select the current minute
  • Touch the tick box to apply the setting

Setting the Date

  • Touch Date
  • Touch the bottom line
  • Swipe to the left or right to select the current day
  • Touch Month
  • Swipe to the left or right to select the current month
  • Touch Year
  • Swipe to the left or right to select the current year
  • Touch the tick box symbol to apply the setting

For Ovens With Steam: Setting the Water Hardness

  • Touch Water Hardness
  • Touch the bottom line
  • Swipe to the left or right to select the appropriate water hardness
  • Touch the tick box symbol to complete the initial use



Classic Models

Setting the Clock

After connecting to the mains the display will flash 0.00. Press the < > button until a clock face appears. Use the rotary button to set the time and then touch the < > button to confirm.

Using the Timer

To use the minute minder press the < > button to show a bell symbol. Use the rotary button to enter the time, the oven will set this time after a few seconds delay, then start counting down. An acoustic signal will sound until it is cancelled. This function will work independently of the oven so you can use it to remind you whenever you like.

To Set The Oven For An Automatic Start/Stop Cooking Period

Select the cooking function and press the < > button to show the |->| symbol and use the rotary button to enter the cooking duration (how long the food needs to cook for). Press the < > again to show the  |->| symbol and use the rotary button to select the end time (the time you want the food to be ready for).

When roasting, place the meat on the wire shelf over the roasting pan – as one unit in an appropriate shelf position.

All times given above are for meats that are at room temperature. Times given above are meant as a guide only and may vary according to personal taste. All meats should be rested for 5-10 minuted before serving.
