The Great British Bake Off is back!
There have been a few changes in the tent (we still miss Mel, Sue & Mary) but the old GBBO magic is still alive and well.
I maybe a little biased, but when I’m watching Bake Off I can’t help but be a little distracted by those gorgeous pastel mixers, the retro fridge freezers and the ovens with the disappearing doors! So I’ve put together the ultimate guide to creating the perfect GBBO kitchen in your very own home.
The Great British Bake Off Oven
Neff Slide & Hide Built-In Single Oven
You may have noticed that the doors on the Great British Bake Off ovens are there one moment, and gone the next! That’s because the Neff ovens they use feature a unique Slide & Hide door that simply pulls out and slides underneath the oven, so that you can reach in for your bakes without leaning awkwardly over the door. A genius solution! This oven is also packed full of all the features you could possibly need as a baker such as bread baking, dough proving, bottom heat (no more soggy bottoms!), conventional heat, surface grilling and low temperature cooking alongside Neff’s famous CircoTherm fan technology.
The Great British Bake Off Warming & Proving Drawer
This warming drawer from Neff is perfect for warming up plates and cups ready for serving. But it can also be very useful for keeping food warm once it has been prepared. In fact, it can keep food warm for up to a staggering 6 hours! So there’s no need to panic if you get your timings wrong during a dinner party. It’s also a great place for leaving dough to rise, as the bakers during bread week have demonstrated over the series.
