HISTORY OF SMEG
Smeg is actually part of the Bertazzoni family, and was established in 1948 as an enameling plant (Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastsalla). In the late 1950s Smeg produced one of the earliest gas cookers before turning its attention to the first ever 60cm dishwasher in 1970. Since then, their product range has expanded to include refrigeration, laundry and small appliances.
