Here’s a date for your diary:
Lichfield Food Festival 2014
Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st August
This fabulous festival was a great success last year and this year it is going to be even better! Along with the main stage cookery demonstrations (now being on a pop-up stage on Market Square) we at The Kitchen Shop are stepping up our activities up a gear! We have organised two main events for you to come to and they are TOTALLY FREE and on both days from 10am until 4pm.
Equipment & Cookery Demonstrations
In-store at The Kitchen Shop, Market Street
10am to 4pm
Free entry
QVC and Ideal World TV presenter, Mal Harradine, will be cooking up a storm on both days with a series of fun cookery demonstrations. He will be showcasing top brands such as Le Creuset and a range of his favourite gadgets. In fact, Malcolm will be in our shop window, so make sure you give him a wave over the weekend! Plus, there will be lots of exclusive festival deals for you to get your hands on.
Foodie Demonstrations
Inside and outside The George Hotel, Bird Street
10am to 4pm
Free Entry
The George Hotel is pretty much next to the shop, accessed via a cobbled archway. So once you’ve seen Malcolm in action, it’s just a 20 second walk to the food and drink stalls.
Many of our best suppliers will be there such as KitchenAid, Joseph Joseph, Kuhn Rikon, Sodastream. We’ve also invited along some great local businesses such as Woodhouse Farm, Buttercream & Bows and Le Reve Cocktail Bar.
So if you fancy a bit of cake decorating, cocktail tasting, chocolate munching, home ale brewing, then come along and have a look!
One of our suppliers, I.O.Shen Knives will be doing a Charity knife sharpening. It will cost £2 a blade with all proceeds going to St Giles Hospice. If you would like to bring your knives to the hotel for sharpening, please ensure they are well wrapped up securely and in a proper bag. After the sharpening, we will wrap your knives securely and bag them for you.
There will be some amazing Food Festival deals just for the weekend and you’ll be able to buy straight from the stands too
There’s many reasons to come to this event as Lichfield will be full of fun activities this weekend, but just the wonderful Farmer’s Market alone is worth a visit. It’s bigger and better than ever before, full to the brim with top quality local producers and unusual foods to try.
