What do you think these gadgets are used for?
The title is a bit of a giveaway but these two gadgets are the Rice Cube and the Dumpling Cube! These are just two of the innovative gadgets stocked by The Kitchen Shop in Lichfield. The Kitchen Shop is just a hop, skip and a jump away from CookersAndOvens HQ and stocks everything imaginable you would need for your kitchen! So we’ve partnered up to bring you the very latest on the trendiest gadgets on the market at the moment.
Each month, Lizzy Braine from The Kitchen Shop will showcase her product of the month, explaining how it can be used and the best dishes to make with it. First up – Sushi Saturday!
Sushi Saturday at The Kitchen Shop
To make things more interesting and to give shoppers another reason to come into our store, we run regular in-store demonstrations. Every Friday, “Foodie Friday”, we show off our most innovative and favourite kitchen gadgets. We also have slightly larger main demonstrations at least one Saturday a month.
Our next main in-store demo will be on Saturday 29th March. I will be showing customers how to use a Rice Cube and a Dumpling Cube! Take a look at the video to see how simple they are to use.
The Rice Cube makes an amazing and unusual present for someone who likes sushi, but you don’t have to like fish to use one as long as you use jasmine, sushi or any sticky rice. You can pretty much make what you want! I’ve made chocolate brownies with Oreos and Philadelphia, and for friends who don’t like fish, I’ve made chicken & mushroom cubes.
Children especially like this fun and colourful gadget and I know a few that have had sushi making parties based on giving everyone a turn to use the Rice Cube. Plus, a few mums and dads have used this handy machine to get some rice and vegetables into their children’s diets.
The Dumpling Cube is a fun and easy way to make Chinese dumplings, but yet again there are many uses for this creative gadget. You can make ravioli by using pasta dough or mini apple turnovers or pies by using pastry instead!
To see both these amazing gadgets in action pop in & see us. We’ll be making smoked salmon and avocado sushi for you to try from 11am until 3pm. Come & join in the fun on Sushi Saturday!
