Kitchen-Aid-Nail-Polishes2

What do you think you can do with an free standing mixer? Just mix? Think again! This month from The Kitchen Shop, Lizzy Braine explains to CookersAndOvens how you can use the KitchenAid Mixer to roll and cut fresh pasta!

The KitchenAid cutting tagliatelle pastaApart from being an iconic and fabulous looking machine, the Artisan KitchenAid Mixer has become one of the best loved electrical kitchen gadgets in recent years. Baking programs such as The Great British Bake Off have shown them in action and on every work station in some wonderful colours [If you love the Bake Off kitchen take a look at our blog post on how to recreate it at home!].

But did you know that these electrical wonders are more than just mixers? There are an array of accessories to choose from that you can fix to the end of your KitchenAid and run from the motor. My absolute favourite is the 3 piece Pasta Roller & Cutter set. I can’t bring myself to buy supermarket pasta after the taste of freshly made. It’s so cheap and easy to make and with this extra accessory, it is almost therapeutic using it!

KitchenAid will be in-store showing off some of their amazing machines on Good Friday 18th April 2014 from 11am until 3pm. I’ll also be using the Pasta Set Accessory so that you can see how to use it, but you can also get hands on with the KitchenAid appliances yourself throughout the day. There will be 10% OFF KitchenAid Mixer attachments on the day too. Please check out our Facebook page for the list of our events.

Take a look at the video below for a sneak preview of how it works! (Skip to 3 minutes in to see the pasta attachment)

KitchenAid are also running a really generous deal at the moment. If you buy an Artisan Mixer from us then you can send away for one of the Pasta Roller & Cutter Sets (worth £83) until 11th May. Plus we still have a few mixers left on SALE at £20 OFF.
