What’s the Difference Between the Rangemaster Kitchener and the Rangemaster Professional Plus?

A customer called us this week asking us about the difference between the Rangemaster Kitchener and the Rangemaster Professional Plus. When we looked into it we noticed that it is actually quite hard to tell the differences between the two models so we’ve put this guide together to help you make up your mind between the two

1. Fuel Types

The Kitchener is available in dual fuel and ceramic only, whilst the Professional Plus is available in dual fuel, ceramic, natural gas and induction. Induction cooking is the very latest technology available on the market. What makes it so fantastic is that it heats the pan and not the surface of the hob making it quick, easy to control, safer and more energy efficient. What could be better?

2. The Grill

The Professional Plus comes with a Glide Out Grill whilst the Kitchener only features a standard grill. I would highly recommend popping into one of our showrooms to take a look at the Glide Out Grill, it is so much easier to use that it can make a real difference to your cooking experience.

3. Awards

The Rangemaster Professional Plus 90 was recently awarded a Which? Best Buy Award with a massive score of 78% this year! The Professional Plus is really one of the best range cookers Rangemaster makes, and is one of the most popular items that we sell.

4. Extra Features

As an additional feature the Professional Plus comes with a browning function in the left hand oven. Perfect for crisping up lasagne and pizzas.

5. Griddle

The Professional Plus also comes complete with a sit on griddle as standard, unlike the Kitchener. The griddle is a fantastic piece of kit perfect for cooking everything from pancakes to a Full English!

6. Colour Palette

The Professional Plus is available in black, cranberry, cream and stainless steel. The Kitchener however is available in black, cream, ivory, silver and stainless steel and is also available with a brass or chrome effect trim.

7. The Plinths

The Kitchener features a recessed plinth which gives it the appearance of having legs, whilst the Professional Plus has a full plinth. There is no advantage to having either of these styles, it’s really just down to personal preference.

8. Control Knobs and Handles

The knobs and handles on a Professional Plus are much chunkier and more robust than that of a Kitchener. So if you’re after the traditional range cooker look, then the Kitchener may be a better option.
