Next in the series we look at the Rangemaster Toledo and the Rangemaster Professional Plus. They look very similar and the difference in price between the two models are very small but there are a few variations between these two models that are definitely worth considering before you make up your mind about which one you’d like to purchase.
1. Pan Supports
The Toledo has gloss pan supports which are recessed to sit into the hotplate spillage well, giving the appearance of your cook top being completely flat. The Professional Plus on the other hand has matt (semi-gloss) pan supports of the traditional sit on style you’re familiar with seeing on gas hobs.
2. The Grill
The Toledo comes with a standard grill but the Professional Plus comes complete with a glide out grill. This may not seem like much of a difference but I would really encourage you to go and see one in action in one of our showrooms if you can as it makes cooking on the grill so much easier.
3. The Hotplate
The Toledo has a two piece hotplate which almost gives the cooker the appearance of being two cookers put together. The Professional Plus on the other hand has a single piece hotplate, giving a smoother, more streamlined appearance.
4. Spillage Areas
Depending on the size of the model you go for the Toledo will either have 2 or spillages areas. On the Professional Plus however, this increases to 3 or 4 spillage wells.
5. Extra Burners
On the Toledo 110 Dual Fuel you will get a warming zone and 1 large 3kW burner. On the Professional Plus 110 you get 2 large 3kW burners however, you can buy a sit on griddle as an optional accessory which can function in the same way as a warming zone when used on a very low heat.
6. Control Knobs and Handles
The Toledo has teardrop style control knobs whilst the Professional Plus has chunkier handles on the doors and drawers.
7. Colours
The Toledo is available in black, champagne, gunmetal grey, silver and stainless steel. The Professional Plus is available in black and stainless steel along with cranberry and cream so it’s important to consider this when thinking about the design of your kitchen.
8. Sizes
The Toledo is available in 90cm and 110cm whilst the Professional Plus is available in 90cm, 100cm and 110cm. The Toledo is also available as a lidded version.
